How do I clear stuff out of phone storage on my HTC Windows 8X phone?

When I tap (select) any of the stored categories (e.g.: music+videos) I get no response from the phone. Can’t open them to make any changes or deletions.

I am having the same problem with the data sense control it is saying it is full which i have no idea why because i just got this phone and i did just what u stated and it won't let me clear anything out.
