Phone wiped  (including contacts after the phone did not successfully copy contacts to card). Card was not in phone when reset was executed to avoid being erased somehow.

This reset did fix the alarm issue, but predictive texting is still an issue. "Tgd" is not a word or abbreviation I am familiar with, but arrive at, when typing keys for "The". Is anyone aware of plans to push out another update to fix the predictive texting dictionary?

While you cannot revert to the previous version, you can try a master reset.

Master Reset - DuraXV by Kyocera

[Device-Specific Instructions]

Caution A Master reset is the last resort for troubleshooting. This reset erases all data and restore preferences to factory default specifications. Performing a Master reset is only recommended when the existing data has been backed up or is unwanted.

  1. From the main screen, choose Menu.
Note Utilize the 5-way navigation pad to highlight and the OK button to select.
  2. Select Settings & Tools.
  3. Select Phone Settings.
  4. Select Security.
  5. Enter the Code.
Note The default code is the last 4 digits of the phone number.
  6. Select Restore Phone.
  7. Select Yes.
  8. Press OK.
  9. Enter the Code.
Note The default code is the last 4 digits of the phone number.
