Sorry that link we provided was not helpful. Although the Name Card cannot be deleted from the phone, it can be changed for example, to a fictitious name and number. You can do so by accessing your Contacts List and then selecting My Name Card. Once there, press OK to edit the information contained there.
Thanks,
I could be wrong, but I think that has to do with the number the phone is activated on.
If you activate a different phone on your line, the previously used phone will automatically deactivate.

I would like to sell it on ebay, so i want to clear all the personal data out first. I still use this same phone number, but on a different phone.
When you sell it, and the other person activates it on their line, that will automatically get rid of that.

but then they know my phone number. That is what im trying to prevent.
Thank you vereyezuhn for your help. What you are looking to do is called a master/factory reset to erase all your personal data from the phone. Here are the steps:
From the main screen, press Menu.
Scroll to Settings & Tools.
Scroll to Phone Settings press OK.
Scroll to Security, press OK.
Enter Lock Code ???? displays, enter the 4 digit lock code ( default: last 4 digits of the last phone number activated).
Scroll to Reset Default, press OK.
Reset Default - Preference Settings will be set to factory defaults. Press <OK> to continue displays, press OK.
Thanks
Thanks Gina, but the phone number still shows up, even after reverting to factory settings. How do we purge that number so we can recycle the phones without the number staying on the phone?
Thank you for your inquiry. Try these steps below as a way to delete the information off the phone. The steps are similar as Gina provided, except for selecting the option under step 6 for Restoring the phone. This is what was suggested by the manufacture that allows you to erase all user data and contact information you have entered into the phone's memory. The steps refer to restoring the phone but in this case as it is explained from the Manuel, it does the same thing as a phone data erase if the factory reset is not successful.
The steps are:
1. With the flip open, press [MENU].
2. Press Settings & Tools.
3. Press Phone Settings.
4. Press Security.
5. Enter the four-digit lock code.
6. Press Restore Phone.
7. Press OK after reading the warning message.
8. Enter the four digit lock code as you did on step 5.
