$175 - $5 for each full month of your contract term that you've completed, i.e., $175 - (5 x 21) = $70

Well I guess I'm stuck with Verizon for a couple months longer! Thanks, they just don't have any fair priced plans for a moderate user!!

$25 per month seems pretty fair priced for a basic phone to me, but I pay much more for my smartphone. What $ are you looking for?

My plan is $35 mo., $42.57 after fees & tax, 700 min & unlimited text, no data steep I think, only use about 1/2 minutes & about 1000 texts per month. too much$$$$$ I think

There is a $10 discount available for basic phones to knock that cost down. You can visit your local store, add the discount online, or call customer care @ 800-922-0204. Hope this helps.

I guess I'll check into that, I've asked about discount several months ago, they never said anything about that!

Thanks

The discount is only available for customers on the Share Everything Plans and are out of contract.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Corrrect, discount is only available on the More Everything plan. You do not have to be out of contract to qualify for the discount - you just have to have a basic phone.

The Month2Month discount does too require the line be out of contract before it can be applied.

I would be interested if the $10 basic phone discount is only available to Edge/month-to-month scenarios. In the More Everything "Build Your New Plan" dialogue, the discount is clearly labeled as an Edge discount. The basic phone discount is not labeled as such which would lead one to believe you do not have to have Edge to receive the discount but would receive the discount regardless of your Edge/service contract choice.

Unfortunately, I do not have any basic phones on my account(contract, month-to-month or Edge) so I am unable to say with certainty one way or the other.Smiley Happy
