They have me on hold for 55 minutes now. I want this deducted from my minutes usage.

It is because you only used 2/3 of your minutes and the billing cycle is ending soon. They hope to run you over.

Was there a reason you didn't use 611 from your phone since it goes directly to customer service and doesn't use your minutes? Doubt they will credit you since it's not their fault you didn't use 611. Mary

Nobody told me about 611 until now. I thought it was always 1-800-verizon

Gosh we have had Verizon 15yrs and always use 611 right from our phone. Most providers have free customer service calls from the phone that doesn't use your minutes but it's never an 800 number. 800-verizon is toll free if you call from a landline. Well now you know for the future. Mary

ew0054,
I'm sorry to hear you were not advised of this in the past, it's always important to have our contact information. 611 is for Prepay Service, *611 or 800-922-0204 is to contact our Postpay service.

Calling *611 doesn't count towards your minutes.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Ok I called 1-800-Verizon but I hope what you are saying applies to that also and thank you for the reply. I gave up after 58 minutes to be exact. Still going to write them. Their unprofessional (lack of) service is leading me to find a new provider ASAP.

That isn't the number for customer service. Also at this time of night, customer service might be closed.
