I changed my entire number and now i cant call or text or receive anything

i changed my entire phone number area code and all like an hour ago. My phone says i have service but none of my text messages go through and i get a busy signal everytime i try to call anyone. What went wrong??? Help!

It sounds like your phone needs to be programmed or reprogrammed. Dial *228 and follow the prompts for programming your  phone. Or call Verizon on another phone and they will guide you through this process.

Ya need to reboot the phone. When I changed my number it tookacouple hours for all the changed to get pushed through

Well, the thing is i cant call any number. even *288. I just get a busy signal on everything. And i have rebooted the phone. My phones information is still showing its identifying itself under the old number while the new number is whats on my account.
