I'm a new customer : i bought a brand new SAMSUNG GUSTO 2, and tried to activate it, dialing *22898 and *288...
But got an "ACTIVATION UNSUCCESSFUL" error...
Inside the MENU i found a Mobile Device number # "000-000-6769"...
I entered it in the Registration Form, trying to get some help from Support...
It didn't work...Bad Number error...
Therefore , i CANNOT REGISTER, and even I CANNOT GET HELP FROM THE SUPPORT,
because i'm unregistered...
I live in Jerusalem, and i bought the phone to use it while visiting Greece as a turist...
Please Help Me!!!

Where are you trying to activate the phone? Which country?
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

I am assuming it's US based phone and it needed to be activated in the US.

That is Verizon support for you. I would keep attempting to call Verizon customer service.

Verizon Wireless doesn't provide support for people in a foreign country. The phones can't be activated in a foreign country. The only responses in this particular thread is from other Verizon Wireless customers.
