If Microsoft wants to succeed with Windows Phone, they really need to step up their game with the in-store reps at Verizon. Last night, once again, I just browsed through a Verizon store in a local mall. Took a quick look around, but didn't see the Icon anywhere. In fact, they only had cardboard replicas of the 928 and 822 on display! When I asked about the Icon, the young lady said, "Oh, we don't carry that. Can I show you this new LG phone?" Obviously, that's what had the spiff-of-the-day going on. Verizon stores are sooo apathetic about WP, it's disgusting.

A lot of places are, which is unfortunate. The Icon is a great phone, I wish I knew where to tell you to check it out at.

Sadly, this is pretty consistent. I've visited many VZW stores in different areas of the country and it seems to be a VZW attitude. My guess it's part of their training. I've even been told by their sales reps that there's no such thing as a Windows Phone. They're always pushing androids and iPhones, even when someone comes in specifically for a Windows Phone.
