Have 4G data that would like to able to use with laptop for school but am being told have to purchase additional $30 data plan to use it. Only use about 1G of my 4G per month and think it's totally pointless to have to pay for more. Other phones with Verizon can do it, can the Lumina 928?
Nope. If you wanna play, you gotta pay. All the "free tethering" apps used loopholes that have been closed. You can get the Verizon More Everything Plan that includes tethering, but you cannot simply enable it for free on the wrong plan.
yeah, if you move to their shared plans that they began using a couple years ago, then hotspot is included. however, on any of the old plans, you have to pay.
