Is there a way to turn off the backup assistant on the LG Cosmos' 3?

I just got this phone and the backup assistant seems to be turning on frequently and not being able to do it's job. It's running down my battery and I just don't want it running.

I have a similar issue with my LG Cosmos 3.  I set it up to do a backup between midnight and 6:00 am and it is still running at 8:00 am, and will continue trying to backup until I unlock the phone.  Then it finishes the back up and closes, if it starts on its own, I would think it should finnish on its own and not need me to help it along.

This is odd! Backup assistant should close on its own once it's done backing up all of your contacts to the cloud. Have you tried canceling the application and adding it back on Cancel or Remove Apps Media Center (Get It Now) | Verizon Wireless ? After that is done we can set the schedule on when you want the back up assistant to run again Set Schedule Backup Assistant LG Cosmos 2 VN251 LG Cosmos 3 LG Cosmos 3 | Verizon Wireless . This will help with anything preventing the application from running properly. Please try and keep us updated.
