LED not working on Lumia 822

Thanks for your reply.  I want to learn these ropes, but I have spend soooo much time just trying to get something that I believe should be easy (getting the LED light to work) and after two entire days I still can't get the light to come on.  I am guessing I need an app for that.  I don't want to, nor can I afford to buy apps for everything.  I guess that's where they get you.  Thanks a million for your supportive comment.  I desperately want to learn the ropes.  I figured out a lot, just not that 'darn LED light". Any suggestions?

Most of the Android apps are free as opposed to IPhone apps.  The paid apps are sold by developers not Verizon.
