I have an LG Exalt. i have a song i want to transfer from the memory card (which was transferred to card from mac). the phone won't let me see what is on the card, but will transfer all files, it said it transferred 26 files from the card to the phone, but then does not show there is anything on the phone's memory

It looks like that phone takes a micro card, can't you just insert the card in the phone and just have the song stored on the card? Also if it has Bluetooth and you have a computer that has Bluetooth try transferring it that way. I do that with videos and pictures. Mary

it is an SD micro card. i have a song on my imac that i want to use as a ringtone. i exported the song from my imac to the micro card - i can do that because i have a reg size SD card adapter that i slide the micro card into. i then slide that SD card into a USB SD card reader. there is already other data on the card, all photos. i placed the micro card into the phone. i followed the process to transfer the data to my phone. the phone indicated it was transferring 26 files, i watched them load one by one. when it was done, none existed in the phone's memory. not the photos, not the song - which is in an ogg format. i understand that the LG Exalt doesn't read mp3s.
since i have a mac, i can't just use a cable to download stuff in the phone - its not compatible.

Don't know about that phone but I have always just dragged and dropped files into the appropriate folders onto the micro card. I know when I had my LG ENV3 I had to put any home made ringtones into the sounds folder for them to work or I would just send the 30 sec song clips from my email to the phone as a multimedia message and just download the clip to the phone that way.
