LG vx8700

I have an old LG vx8700, which I understand hasn't been supported for some time. Is there any way to still use it for calls only? Probably not, but thought I'd ask anyway.

From here select “Other Device Type” followed by “Next”.
The Device ID asked for correlates to the MEID or IMEI on the 8700 .
