Hi, I just got the LG EXTRAVERT 2 cell phone about 1 month ago , and for the first 2 weeks it worked fine but the last 2 weeks I've been having issues I was wondering if i can fix it without having to return and exchange the phone, I cannot access my text messaging inbox, if I push the messaging icon on the screen the whole phone just freezes and I cannot do anything on it unless I take the battery out and put it back in, and also every time I send a text message the phone does the same freeze up thing and freezes on the "message sent",screen which gets extremley annoying after a while lol if there's anyway I can manually fix this problem I'd appreciate the help a lot !
thanks

Oh wow! Thanks for trying the steps, nmcelroy2. Have you already initiated the process to get it replaced?

If it's less than a year old pop into a Verizon store and have them look at it. When my sons phone was defective at 9 months the store had a new one shipped him with instructions for shipping the old one back after we received the new one. Mary

You may have very little storage space for text messages - try deleting old messages, and clearing the sent messages box. If you need to save messages, you don't have many options on a basic phone. If the text messages aren't that crucial and you just need texting to work, then delete old messages (or send them to your email if you need to save them) and keep a minimum of messages on the device.

My son's extravert also froze. We ended up just removing the battery and reinstalling it. Works fine now, but this thread says it could repeat. A suggestion was to delete old text messages, which I will advise him to do.
