My girlfriend's Lumina 735 has always worked on advanced calling, my lg lancet never has. Got ahold of Verizon, tey went through all trouble shooting, finally came down to one lady tech calling me, a week later, to tell me "must be my device" nothing wrong with their network... Then she said "wait, I see, oh it must be your device, need to upgrade"..., 3 minuets later, my Bluetooth said phone disconnected, I looked down, my phone was rebooting, and came up on the advanced calling screen with it on.
I now have advanced calling on my phone, magically after a year of having it, so yes it IS on their side, there is a setting they have to do to make it work.

Sometimes, with all platforms, a restart can change some settings back to the default. If "on" is the default setting for advanced calling, this may be one of those situations. If you turn it off and it stays off until restarting, I wouldn't worry about it.

schhjay,
Advanced calling is a great feature and we defintiely want you to have access to the service at all times. Lets look into this to make sure everything is functioning as it should. When rebooting your device are you able to turn Advanced calling and have it stay on? Please share some additional details so that we can assist you further with this issue.

I'm seeing the same issue as well schhjay. I've had a networking ticket in with Verizon for over two weeks now and they are still investigating. This issue occurs on Windows Phone 8.1 and Windows 10 Mobile if you do the upgrade. I've been sending a boatload of screenshots and information to help them determine what the issue is. The networking team has escalated it to the top engineers and is getting in contact with Microsoft and their engineers to see what's going on. That firmware update works as intended to add the HD Voice feature to your line...but doesn't provision the phone properly for advanced calling. On the Verizon side of things, they can see it has Advanced Calling added to the plan and the phone is registering as being active on Advanced Calling but it is not switching the phone to 4G LTE during a call. It's basically still routing through their old network and not detecting that the phone is capable of the Advanced Calling feature. I'll post another update when I have one.

I have the Lumia 735 so I don't have the Windows 10 update yet. Still running 8.1 (very frustrating).
I'm glad that Microsoft is looking into the problem of Advanced Calling not staying turned on after a reboot.
Hopefully Verizon will have a software update soon that will fix this.

Have you tried installing the Window 10 update? It is available for your phone model now officially.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Windows 8.1 and 10 behave in exactly the same way for this issue. It's not an operating system problem so I suspect it's hardware. I dumped my windows phone for a iPhone and life is good.

I did the same recently. My Windows Phone was a backup/secondary device, but I'm walking away at least until the Surface Phone arrives. I'll re-evaluate when I read some first hand reviews by end users. That won't be until mid to late 2017 though. My new secondary device is a BlackBerry. I know, right? Old school - BB7 on a 9370, no less! I'm going to move up to a Q10 so I can get data services over WiFi on a prepaid line. Unfortunately you just CANNOT get the old BIS data plan on prepaid, which is a bummer.

I am having exact same problem on my Lumia 735 with Windows 10 upgrade. I can toggle it on but when I do the reboot, it is off. Did you ever get a fix? I was on the phone with a customer representative for hours last night.

Advanced calling comes in handy, and we want to ensure that your setting stays on, SteveAL. What is your zip code? Please review your Products & Apps page on My Verizon to confirm that the HD Voice feature is added. Number 1 under "Getting and Setting Up HD Voice" provides the steps to do so. HD Voice is in my apps and services list, and my zip code is 35405. When I toggle it on, it says that I am subscribed to HD Calling and to completely turn my phone off and restart. I have done this several times over the past few days. It never comes on. Thanks.

I don't think you need Advanced Calling. Mine says "Service upgraded to HD Voice." I think that is something Verizon did a couple years ago

I don't remember for sure, but you might have to enable it on your account, or maybe you live in an area where it's not available.
