Rating has nothing to do with how many units sold...apples and oranges are both fruits but they don't taste the same.

nearly everything sells out now. whether the manufacturer uses "just in time" production and inventory, or they want to create hype....they almost always make sure that they don't produce too many. apple knows very well how many iphones will sell, but they never make enough so as to ensure a sell out. i'd like to see the wp7 devices take off. it's always good to have more options. for now though, they are just too small of the market for verizon to really put effort in to.

manufacturers have to market them as well. see apple, samsung, moto, htc, etc. they all have a number of commercials for their products in general, that are paid for by them, not the carrier.

Though ratings influence sales. When purchasing a product don't you do research and check the reviews of what people have to say about the product? Crappy reviews/low score equals don't buy the product whereas good reviews high score like lets say the Trophy equal strong contender in purchasing the product?
In my post above, https://community.verizonwireless.com/message/787834#787834 the Trophy did per-say sell out and VZW continues to sell it. If its such a bad product why even keep it in stock? No business likes keeping stale inventory.

Yes it may be a small market for WP7 I do wish it was bigger and it could be bigger if VZW would get their collective head out of the sand and start carrying more devices.
AT&T is throwing its weight behind it with all the devices the carrier has to offer now; that has to mean something. Either AT&T thinks the WP7 is going to be a good competitor to the iPhone and Andriod or Microsoft/Nokia is throwing money at the carrier to carry the product hoping for a large audience.

I'll watch a cnet review or something..but normally if a device has the specs I want I just buy it... Most people that do reviews I could care less about. People use the internet to cry and feel better, half the issues people about devices aren't true for all users. Some people are just dumb, and useally the loudest.
