There is a very active Windows Phone (not mobile!!!, give you props for having your peeps change the name recently) community on your network. There is absolutely NO reason that the number one carrier in the country does not carry ANY high-end Windows Phones. The HTC Trophy will not cover it for us power users and professionals, who do not wish to go the Iphone or Android route. Perfectly acceptable OS's, but not as near intuitive as Windows Phone's new OS, IMHO.
It has been reported that Verizon Representatives attended the Nokia World conference recently and were in negotiations for some new device(s). That's great, that's what we like to hear. Then, just recently, your spokesperson, during an interview, said that Verizon wouldn't consider a Windows Phone device without LTE. Fine, that's OK, you've invested in your infrastructure, which has growing pains as we all know it, so I would expect that you would want the top tier devices.
The mosr recent rumor (I really hope it's not true), is that Verizon turned down ALL LTE devices that run the Windows Phone OS. Is this true? Did your company actually lie durng an interview, or misspeak or blow smoke up the interviewer's ass? ATT will get, arguably the most desired device since the Iphone 4S, the LTE enabled Nokia Ace (900), and us Verizon Windows Phone users will get the Nokia 710, which is a low end device with no LTE to boot. What is wrong with this picture? You have the NUMBER ONE network in the country and yet you steer all your customers to android and Iphone!!! What is Verizon afraid of, are you pissed at Microsoft, Nokia? What?
I really hope VZN starts to carry some high-end devices soon. My four lines, which I have had with you for 7 years is going to ATT, which has THE best choice of Windows Phone devices. Other VZN customers feel the same way, read the tech blogs/sites.
You should play with one of your HTC Trophys for awhile. Although VERY low end, you will get a feel for the OS, give it a chance. Thanks!

Why are you Windows users so stubborn, the facts are there's not a demand, the windows market is very small its all about Android/Iphone. Verizon doesn't see a reason to carry Windows nor can i blame them, they did terrible before and they don't see a need for them (can't say i blame them). Yet despite all this windows users continue to piss and moan and insist that Verizon is dumb because they won't carry it. So let me get this straight a company should carry a product that has little to no demand???? yeah sure who cares about profit lets please the 5% of people who want a Windows phone. Until Windows proves they can compete which they haven't even come close if you follow the market share of OS systems, until that moment comes what the hell could Verizon possibly gain from pleasing such a very small market.
PS-The Nokia Ace is nowhere even close to being as desirable as an Iphone 4S even you should realize that buddy. People aren't lining up out the doors for windows phones lol

I could say the same to you iPhone users. Why are you so stubborn. Why do you think that iOS is the only real OS. We have different needs and wants. I have been a Windows device user since they introduced the first Pocket PC over ten years ago. Long before any similar iThingy.
That said, WP is getting great reviews from users of both iOS and Android. So there is positive press out there. We want choice. just like you iOS users before iPhone came to VZW.
Enough said.
Dear Verizon. Please get some better WP7 phones. We are getting tired of waiting!

Ok fair enough you can say the same to iphone users, but which one is bringing money to the table, nobody cares about reviews, your phone could be the greatest reviewed of all time, but if only 10 people want it and 50 people want the other phone which do you think LOGICALLY a company would want. Gotta put yourself in their shoes i can see why they don't, the Windows market isn't worth it, there's not any revenue worth investing in Windows.

Do you think Android grew as well as it did on Verizon because someone brought a boat of cash to Verizon's door step? Google might have brought some, but no, in general Verizon invested heavily in promoting Android and at the time they had to because people wanted the iPhone, but Verizon refused to sign up under Apple's terms for the first few years.....to the detriment of their customer (and former customers). Verizon isn't going to have a market if they never offer phones and don't push it themselves. The problem is that they don't want to support another OS, they are a business and are hoping their customers will find everything they need in Android and iOS. Really though, Verizon can get away with little investment and still support WP7 devices. It is the device manufacturer's that have to certify their phones and Verizon isn't required to recreate all their Android apps for WP7 and they can also leave the marketing up to Microsoft and the device partner (like Nokia). MS and Nokia have already spent millions on marketing and not one penny of that is/for a Verizon phone. If nothing Verizon is losing out on free advertisement. I could understand if the WP7 devices were getting terrible consumer reviews, but most of these phones have higher average scores than any other phone out there or at least the top 10....which says a lot for the "new OS on the block".

@dominicsantiago
The New York Times and Bloomberg (among others) have recently published very favorable articles for Windows Phone 7. WP7 also has the second highest customer satisfaction rating for smartphone OS.
My daughter has an iPhone 4 and my wife has a Droid X. I prefer my Trophy over both of those phones. If by 'stubborn' you mean WP7 users have read, researched and compared the OS's and then made and intelligent decesion for WP7 over anything else, well, I guess we are the most stubborn group out there.
What I don't understand is the iTard community's need for iTrolling.

Your comments have merit but the thorn in our sides that the CMO Marni Walden stated they would not carry and Windows Phones till there is LTE support and then supposedly turns down said LTE devices. Also if VZW has no plans to carry any Window Phone devices than just come out and say so, so that we can go to another carrier.
In regards to demands, if there isn't any demands why is at&t carrying so many devices? Plus when Verizon released the Trophy no store would display it where people could see it or the sales folks even discuss the device with customers. There have been reports that even that some of the sales folks would discourage the device if people asked about it and point to an iPhone or an Andriod. The Trophy has sold out a few times on the online store so you can't say there isn't some demand.
The Windows Phone OS can compete with Andriod and iOS anytime. It does just about everything they do except the slight lack of applications but that growing and it growing faster than any of Andriod or iOS app store did when they were initially released.
IPhones are the only device people line up for, name me any other phone people stand on line for? Plus the Nokia Ace (Lumia 900) hasn't been released yet so how would people know about the phone yet alone stand on a line to get one?

it's not verizon's job to create demand. android was brand new when verizon launched the huge motorola campaign for the original droid. the manufacturers have to put $ into the ads as well. some ads are done by verizon (promoting the network) while others are paid for (in part) by the manufacturer. motorola and verizon have always promoted their products heavily (samsung does a great deal of this too)....but how many htc or sony experia ads have you ever seen? the tbolt got some airplay, but that was really more because it was the first LTE phone.
also...google had not already failed at a mobile OS once before. i think verizon learned their lesson with the palms and pre's (hp/webOS). they couldn't pay customers to take that inventory off of their hands. and that was also a GREAT mobile OS. they are also learning their lesson with the blackberries. now what do the iphone and androids have in common that windows, rim, and webOS don't have? apps. it's that simple. people want phones with apps and support. apple and google have that. and verizon wants phones that the masses want....not a small demographic of customers. they watched customers threaten to leave (and many did....and came back) when at&t got the iphone. and for quite a while these forums buzzed with android users complaining about our lower end androids (where's our nexus? we got the htc incredible while sprint got the EVO! why are we the ONLY carrier to NOT get a version of the SGS2!?!?.....etc, etc, etc). verizon's strength has never been their devices OR their pricing. it's about the network for them and it's worked for them pretty well. if the coolest device, or price plans is what's important to your, then verizon's not your guy. if you want the best coverage, then you take what they get. i guarantee that if windows starts taking a nice chunk of the OS market share, then they will focus on it. but the fact is that windows mobile users is still nearly irrelevant in market share....and after all, they are a business.

So, Verizon, (and all of you iPhone and Android users who think that WP users are inflexible) what we are asking, is Verizon going to support WP or not? When Verizon did not carry the iPhone, users knew it and that they needed to change carriers to get one. Then when it was announced that it was coming to Verizon, it was advertised for months before the phone finally became available.
I have difficulty buying into it is the device manufacturers that are holding Verizon hostage. After all, wouldn't you want your devices on the number on network?
So, we would simply like the same courtesy. Windows Phones on Verizon or not? Please stop stringing us along.
And I would stand in line for the right WP device.

If Android doesn't work out the bugs and glitches, I wouldn't be surprised if many people take a good long look at iOS AND Windows phones. I know I will.

I could not agree more. I work at a fortune 100 company and more and more of my coworkers who have all been diehard Verizon users because of coverage, are pushing our company to add more carriers as viable options because of Verizon's lack of support for Windows Phone. From a strictly os standpoint Windows Phone is an excellent product, but from a business standpoint it is a markedly superior product to anything else out there.
Great, you want the iphone for seniors and kids, have at it. But Blackberry is dying and there is a growing market for a modern business platform. Nearly every large company runs exchange. Our IT dept is currently looking at adding both AT&T and T Mobile for exactly this reason. Verizon needs to get its act together asap, or I am out!

Windows phones are being looked at seriously by my company. I need to educate myself more on them. Have you had Android and/or iOS?
I'm curious how they compare when it comes to music, user interface, apps, reliability (frequency of reboots, resets, etc.).

iOS is the best for social media. Very smooth interface, solid software. I had an iphone for a year. It was nice, but I was never happy using Office docs, etc on it.
Android has gotten much better, but I do not think it is on par with either W Phone or Apple in software dept. I had far more reboots with Android than either of the others. It was highly "tweakable" however. I put those two on opposite ends of the spectrum. iOS is for people who just want it to work (not too into tech) and Android is for those who really like to customize.
I think W Phone is in the sweet spot in the middle and I love how smooth the Office integration is on it. I have a relatively low end spec phone (Trophy) and it performs very well.

Kraftkid, why can't you have both? A phone you can customize and JUST WORKS?
I prefer Android for a number of reasons. The bugs and troubleshooting.......not so much. Maybe, that's where Windows phones can enter the mix.
