My LG Cosmos Vn250 won't unlock

My phone will turn on and off; the screen opens to the usual screen; it takes text messages it even shows incoming calls, BUT, I cannot do anything as the phone does not respond when I hit the unlock key.  It has been that way since I tried to answer a call last night! Help, It is my only phone and I have health problems and must have a working phone.  Thank you

Zeusersmom, I want you to have a working phone also! If you are still having this issue, have you tried removing your battery for a few seconds? If no change, try sliding the phone open and then attempt to unlock. Let me know if you are still having issues unlocking your device, let me know.
