My phone is dead. Where can I get help?

I dropped my phone and it no longer functions. The screen is black. I cannot call or perform any other functions. Even though the phone was purchased in May 2013, Asurion, the insurer, will not allow me to file a claim. They say it is still under factory warranty. Verizon says that it is not under warranty. Where can I go for help and a phone that works?

Did you clarify with Asurion that this is indeed damage and not just a malfunction of the device?  Dropping your phone wouldn't be a warranty issue of the manufacturer as it's not poor workmanship...I'd call Asurion again...
