Keyword, rumor....

Not going to get into a tizzy till after Nokia's keynote speech on 1/9 before I contemplate jumping ship.

Doesn't look good for us WP7 lovers....

According to Paul Thurrott; VZW isn't getting the ACE/900 but will be getting the Lumia 710 sometime in April without LTE which contradicts what CMO Marni Walden said about LTE and WP7.

If its true than VZW you have failed us yet again and time to voice my disappointment with my money and move to another carrier.

This is **bleep**!!!!!!  I've been holdig on my new every two for a new Windows Phone (wife has the trophy and loves it, not for me though), and you give me the Nokia 710?  Give me a {word filter avoidance} break!!!!!!  What was that load of crap the Verizon spokesperson said that we wouldn't entertain a non LTE windows phone (hello iphone?).  I've been following the progression of the Nokia devices and so wanted an Ace.  {word filter avoidance} Verizon, looks like ATT for me, and then my wife and son when their contracts are up!!!

Your specs on the storage for the 710 are wrong by the way.  It's 8GB only, no SD card support:

Great news for AT&T.

But really, the 710 needs a new radio for CDMA. That leaves open the possibility of an LTE chipset, especially April timeframe they'd have had months to test. Not likely given VZW's track record but possible if they cared.

VZW could change the 8GB to 16GB easily also. Gonna be the 710 form factor with tweaked internals regardless.

I hear you brother.  I have an HTC Trophy and it's OK, but soooooo wanted an Nokia 900.  I'm trying to understand the relationship between MS and Verizon and the more things I see or read about it the more it gets me wanting to jump ship.  I think the only reason they are even HAVING Window Phones is to keep anybody that's currently on the network that like WP to stay there.  My local store has an iPhone display, wall to wall Android phones and not the HTC Trophy.  You can only get it specially ordered.....so {word filter avoidance} that I can't explain how that makes me feel!

I'm going to wait out the next month to see if there are any announcements about Windows Phone Devices.  After the dust clears, I'll be jumping ship to AT&T if Verizon doesn't get some good devices.  That means me, and my wife's contracts will be done with Verizon.  Then soon, my 3 young daughters will be wanting phones too.

Step up Verizon.

Yeah, not happy with this news today either.  HTC and Samsung are bringing two LTE devices to ATT in 2012 according to the Verge:

Verizon is making me mad about this, and I have no choice it looks like to jump ship unless they come up with something at CES or Mobile World Congress.
