Also, for anyone who's looking to upgrade an existing computer to Windows 8, instead of buying new hardware, if you're not aware, the price for downloading the upgrade is $39.99 until the end of Jan, when it will go up to $199.99, IIRC.  To buy it on CD, it's $69.99.  But Amazon has a pre-order deal going on now where if you buy the pre-order for $69.99, you get a $30 Amazon gift card, essentially bringing the CD down to the download price.  Not bad if you're a person who would rather have it in a box than over the wire.

The sad part of Amazon...  I always have to pay shipping for 95%+ stuff out there.  Sometimes it isn't cheap either.  That gift card will more than likely cover my shipping on my next purchase.

Verizon has until the end of Nov. 2012 to supply WP8 choices or it's GOOD BYE verizon, HELLO AT&T for me. I have a Surface RT and will bye a Surface Pro when available so, I am NOT WAITING on verizon's dithering attitude towards the Windows Phone platform. Their service in my area is not that great vs AT&T anyway.

NO, I'm NOT HAPPY now. Where are the release dates and pricing??? Not to mention, HTC and other manfacturers options. AT&T has had multiple phones available for months, why not verizon. This just sounds like more verizon dithering to me!!!
