I go to setting and tap NFC and just stays on the settings screen. Booted phone no joy.

You might have to do a hard reset; resetting to factory defaults.

Buzzzer,

We want you to be able to manage your settings. Could you please elaborate on what you are experiencing? Is it only that setting where you are not able to access the menu? By booted phone, what do you meant?

Chiming in late, but have you tried the Windows Phone Recovery Tool, yet?  I did that with my Icon last week just for kicks and I'm glad I did.  Latest firmware and OS all in one swoop without update on top of update.  Noticed a few differences and some things that run even better now.  Can't wait for Windows 10!
