Not sure if anyone can help. I turned on group messages a few days ago but I am still unable to receive group messages. When someone sends one that I am on I receive a message directly from them (not knowing who it was sent too.) Replying I just send directly to the person who sent it too me. Is there an app that I could attach to my phone number to receive text messages? or some sort of add on service? I can't imagine everyone without an iphone doesn't have the ability to send and receive group messages. Also from looking online it looks like it's more of a Verizon issue than a nokia/windows phone issue.
Thanks,
Harold

Hmm, I'll have to experiment with this. I haven't received any group messages since turning on the feature. I did SEND a group text, and received replies and it appeared to work - all the recipients could see all the others and their responses. But that was with me initiating the group text, and the other people had BlackBerry phones, possibly Android.
Can you SEND a group text and get responses and see everyone? I'll see if I can have someone include me in a group text and watch what happens. Or maybe someone else with the Lumia 928 that uses group texting more frequently than I do can help you more.

It works great, but different than the iphone app. To use group text just generate your message and include the list of people you want to send to. Then when anyone responds, you will see there response with the names of everyone at the top of the thread to indicate all in the group.

Could it be an issue in how it's replied to? For example, if one of the recipients replies only to you (maybe they don't have group messaging capabilities), it may not go to that group thread, but instead to their individual thread.

Thanks for the replies, I'm going to assume it's an opperator error now that it's turned on and try it when I get home with my wife's and my second cell phone.
