Hello!
So I was deleting some files from my phone to clear space and I ended up accidentally deleting ALL of the Swype files. (Let's just say it was very late at night andI wasn't at my best.) Now I can't type anything on my phone, the keyboard pops up but just beeps at me and then the phone shuts off. I've been trying to figure out if I could retrieve the files - I talked to Samsung support and they said 'no.' As far as I can tell, my options are now to upgrade the software or hard reset the phone. Would either of those work? I know it'll erase my data and all, but will upgrading or a hard reset actually do anything for me? Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope!

I can understand your hesitation with performing a software update http://bit.ly/HXeit9 or even the hard reset http://bit.ly/IPmlKI, but those would be the best options for you at this time. I'm confident it will get your keyboard to work again.
