Google may block sign in attempts from some apps or devices that do not use modern security standards. Since these apps and devices are easier to break into, blocking them helps keep your account safer.

With the way Verizon is handling WP, and how the Verizon Reps actually tried DISCOURAGING me from getting a Windows Phone when I got my Icon, I've had it with VZW. (The whole Netflix smoke and mirrors doesn't help my opinion either.)
I joined up with Verizon so I could save money sharing a plan with my family. It's just not worth it. I'm going to pay MORE for AT&T. But at least I'll be getting something out of it.
