Partial connectivity loss - email, marketplace, internet

Semi random data connectivity issue. My phone will stop data updates in the background. For example, email will stop loading new message (Hotmail, corporate Exchange server, and Comcast all stop). Hitting the sync button generates a 'cannot reach the server' error message for all three accounts.The Marketplace will also stop loading the featured apps. Any internet search will just hang and timeout.

Turning the phone on and off seems to fix the issue, but now I'll do it multiple times in the same physical location during a day. Tried a soft reset (power + vol down) and that did not seem to improve it. Playing with wifi to see if it is the trigger. More ideas?

Check your Cellular data connection - is it set to CDMA/LTE? 

Try removing the SIM and reinserting it to see if it gets a better data connection.
