Has anyone gotten this to work on their Lumia 928 or Lumia 822. I performed the GDR2/Amber Update to my Lumia with no issue whatsoever but numbers i add to the call block list on the device those numbers are still getting through.

I am having the same problem on my Lumia 928 after doing the Amber update and it is important to note that this feature/app is part of the Amber update on any Windows Phone 8 device. I block a number and it keeps getting through and the app does not even count that it has blocked the number. Mine has been doing it to a toll-free number from a company I have been dealing with. I will not go into details but let's just say they don't like the payment arrangement they originally agreed to and want more $$$$ from me. Are the numbers that are still getting through toll-free for you as well?

Do you have the number entered in the blocker app EXACTLY the same as it shows up in your caller ID?

Yes I used the add from call history option when the number first called after installing the Amber update I pressed and held the screen on the number until the menu popped up and pressed "Block Number" When it calls back I do the same thing but when I select "Block number" I get a message telling me that said number is already blocked with an OK button.

Call me clueless, but I don't see the option to block - we have a Lumia 928, with AMBER installed. I go to Settings>>Extras + Info, and I don't see the options as shown here:
Long pressing a number on my recent call list gives me one option: Delete item.
Is there something else I need to install? O am I just not looking in the right place? Thanks for any and all help.

The Extras+Info just gives information about your phone's carrier settings, version of the Nokia software AMBER in our cases. The feature is off by default I found it in mine when I went into settings under the phone section and you can turn any or all of those features on.

I must be blind, I'm still not seeing it. The only part of the screen not showing in this is my own ph number and voicemail info at the top. I scroll past that and this is all I see. Where should I be looking?

Nevermind, I read this thread - , installed the SysApp Pusher, and now have SMS and Call filtering, and some other goodies to play with. There is so much I don't know about this phone, and it seems the more I learn, the more there IS to learn. No wonder there is confusion and complaints about things not working.....
And just FYI, I tested the SMS call blocking and it doesn't seem to work. I blocked my home phone, then called the cell form the home phone. The call came in, the cell phone rang, I flipped it over to "silence it", and the call went to voicemail. And the # of blocked calls still read "0".

My mistake the setting itself at least on my Lumia 928 was the second to the last one in the settings area itself. It's labeled Call and SMS filter.

It does not seem to work of you use the Verizon sanctioned updates to Windows Phone 8 I think the feature is intentionally blocked on their network. I noticed as soon as I did the preview for developers on my Lumia 928 which all but confirms that this is true unless someone from the carrier ever leaks the fact we will never have "The Smoking Gun" that it's a fact. Keep in mind you will have to join the developer program and pay $19/year for an individual account. Keep in mind that Verizon will void your warranty if you send your phone in with the beta software so you will have to have it serviced by Microsoft or get a Square Trade warranty for your device so weigh the pros and cons carefully before deciding whether or not to do it!

Call + SMS Filter doesn't work for me either. Been reading a lot of other forums and it seems all 928 users are experiencing the same issue. Read that a few had contacted Nokia about it, and there response has been to contact Verizon on the issue. Some have swapped the SIM card, with one from other carriers, and all of sudden the filter works!
I hope Verizon is not disabling yet another native function of the device just for profit and remedies this ASAP!

SMS filtering works. Call filtering does not. Don't just post on this and other forums about it, CALL Verizon Wireless and let tech support know of your displeasure. Squeaky wheel vs grease.

Yes, the SMS part does work, but is only part of the whole filter. So the call+SMS filter is not functioning properly, at least on Verizons' network it's not. And, I have called

You can only block 5 numbers for free, for 90 days as you mentioned, then you have to re-add them afterwards. If you need to block more, up to 20, you'll have to subscribe to Usage Controls service, which cost $4.99 a month for each line subscribed.
From the VZW site:
Block Numbers For 90 Days
You can manually block numbers again after they expire. Or, get a little extra security with Usage Controls and block up to 20 numbers without expiration.
How much does Usage Controls cost?
Usage Controls costs $4.99/month for each line that's subscribed to it.

Is this going to be fixed? Or is it just VZW trying to get more money out of us to use their call blocking service?

I don't think Verizon has ANY plans to fix this app and to allow it to function. I should re-state my original thesis. I had said that Verizon was being paid by somebody to prevent this app from working. That was not accurate. Verizon simply offers a competing service, on a pay for use basis ($4.95/month/phone) and doesn't want to allow an app to do filtering for free while they charge for it. Simple economics. Verizon has a financial interest in NOT allowing this app to work.

I had a conference call with VZW support and Nokia last week. NEITHER is taking blame but this is clearly a network (read Verizon) issue since it works on every other carrier. I was told this would be resolved in a future update. Dear Verizon... we're watching your actions on this.
