Prepaid phone for regular plan

Hi,

   Can you buy a prepaid phone and activate it on a regular month to month plan? We don't have an upgrade available at the time and were thinking about buying a cheap prepaid phone to use until we have an upgrade available. So I was just making sure we would be able to do that.

You can not do as you would like. The prepaid phone needs to used as a prepaid phone for 6 months until it can be transferred to a post-paid account.

If needing a phone until you can upgrade, check with friends and family for a VZW phone in a drawer, or check out Ebay, but be sure to check to see if the ESN is clear BEFORE purchasing. Look for sellers with great positive numbers.
