Red line above menu bar

Can anyone tell me how to delete the red line with red arrow pointing to bule/white box, right about the menu bar?  Know it refers to an alert of some sort, but have checked all types of messages, and there is nothing to be deleted!  Had this same problem with my older phone, and now with the Cosmos 2.  instruction booklets are not worth a darn other than getting your phone set up, and even then, older people have to use trial and error.

Oops! Found out it was a "missed call" alert, and deleted it.  Thanks!
