Is there any way to get full SMS messages? My incoming messages are truncated.

Are the messages longer than 160 characters?  (Standard size for SMS)?  What phone do you have?  Most phones now deal with longer messages by delivering them all in one or splitting into multiple messages.  Some older phones simply truncate at 160 characters and the rest of the message is lost.

If you are using the native messaging on the phone, perhaps try a third party messaging app to see if it handles long messages better?

Thank you! I have a Samsung ATIV Odyssey phone, model SCH-1930. I bought it last year. My SMS messages seem to truncate at about 80 characters โ€“ but itโ€™s hard to be sure because there might be formatting characters that I donโ€™t see.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Hello ARH1945,

We want you to be able to enjoy your sms to the fullest capability. I'm confident that we can get all of your sms concerns addressed for you. May I ask are you using the original text message app? Also, are you counting the spaces between the words in your character count as they are a part of the 160 characters. I would suggest sending a text to yourself using the full 160 characters to see if the message comes back edited. Keep us posted, just in case more assistance is needed.

Thank you...
