...and we don't have the GA version of WP 8.1 yet. What's going on? When will it be pushed? It has been over 4 months now. I need Cortana to tell me when to get flowers for my wife! Seriously, this is ridiculous...
I think is more ridiculous to keep asking the same question every day expecting something to change. And especially asking it on a customer to customer messageboard. You do realize no one from Verizon is even reading these posts. Also WP 9 won't even be out for over a year.
What's you point, because your post is addressed to Verizon corporate and this forum is for Verizon CUSTOMERS to help other Verizon CUSTOMERS. So what can I as Verizon CUSTOMER do about your issue? Not a thing
Nothing. I agree. The question wasn't directed at you; rather VZW. VZW
emailed me directly with my answer. Thanks for your input. There are
multiple ways to crack an egg.

The Developer Preview is not an official release of the OS. Microsoft is (albeit) rumored to be releasing the Windows Phone 8 Developer Preview sometime in January or February 2015. Not sure if the Cyan or Denim firmware will be required for this version of the DP.
Also, VZW technicians do read these posts. I've had VZW tech support person quote comments from these forums.
Obviously, otherwise they might have a clue as to how much their update process really sucks!
As I told the Senior Lead Tech Support executive who called me yesterday, just because AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile or any other carrier isn't willing to extend pre-testing to manufacturers, doesn't prevent Verizon from making that first step. If Verizon would extend this "Apple-esk" pre-release pretesting to Microsoft, Samsung, HTC, Googe, etc I'm quite sure these manufacturers would be more than willing to work with them. And if Verizon takes the first step, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile might just follow suit, but Verizon would always be able to claim they opened that gate first.
