Setting up email (or really deleting one)?
confusedinwindsor

I set up my new Windows HTC 8X email yesterday after upgrading my PC to Windows 8.  Windows8 tech had me install Windows Live email account to PC to use with Comcast Business Class.  then we set up phone to sync there.  Unfortunately, that wasn't right thing to do as I needed just to install Comcast's Outlook 7 back to PC and then set up phone email.  Now I can't figure out how to delete the first email from my phone.  Any suggestions?

Also, am having trouble getting the Start screen to open up--having to tap the Start button numerous times before it works.

Hi confusedinwindsor,

How exciting that you've selected our new Windows 8 HTC device! Clearly, sending and receiving emails are important to you and you've definitely selected the right device to fit your emailing needs. I can absolutely provide the steps to remove an email account for you, here!

1. From the Start screen, swipe left to display the Applications list.
[Alternatively from the Start screen, select the right arrow (located in the lower-right)]

2. Select Settings
3. Select email accounts.
4. Select and hold a POP / IMAP account.
5. Select delete.

I trust this information will be helpful in setting up your email accounts, successfully. I am concerned about you having to continuously press the Start key. Is this only happening while your working with your email accounts? How often does this occur? Please let me know. I'd like to look into this for you.

Thanks,
