I put my complaint in the second week after Microsoft announced their release to the carriers.  At about the 25 day mark, I got an email from Verizon telling me that the update was delayed, that they were still testing, and that I could enjoy shopping for Accessories on their Website if I wanted.  Yeah, what a bunch of clowns.

I responded to the email saying the delays were unacceptable.  I, then, took my received and sent email with Verizon and faxed it in to the FCC with another cover letter revisiting my complaint.  After a few weeks, I got a standard - almost form letter from the FCC stating that my letter was being attached to my original complaint and would be turned over to an FCC representative.  That was about 2 weeks ago.

During this timeline, I have also heard from other forum members who actually spoke to a Verizon Rep state that there were numerous customers who have been complaining - and doing so with the FCC.  I guess I am happy to hear that I am not the only one.

I plan to give it another week - then will call the FCC to see what is going on with this "Representative Escalation" they sent me a letter about.  Progress is slow, but it seems as if we are getting the attention of a few people.

I will respond every single time this mad dog poster puts out inaccurate information.

The poster you replied to actually contributes nothing but static.

I laugh with every post it makes.

And like RC posted "Nothing has been done in all these weeks" just like I posted from the start. Nothing will be done with all these so called complaints.

Verizon Wireless will release any update "when if if they are good and ready to do so"

Verizon's own replies to these posts show they are revealing absolutely nothing and no law or regulation says they have to.

So let the complaints continue. Zero will happen.

Happy Wednesday to all!

Much like the 6 years of complaints from Android users of the same complaint. They even have lawsuits and such. Yet they haven't even gotten the FCC to investigate. That speak volumes. Millions of complaints and the FCC still hasn't. Yet they think Windows Phone complaints will make a difference.

You know personally I understand the posts in that even if Verizon wireless gave any word on upcoming events like device updates or no updates say at a web site section, it would more than likely make most of these types of posts unnecessary.

I have found Verizon's information is quicker at Google+ than here at the forum. However its the constant posting of misinformation from the complainers that irks me the most.

The mentality of the squeekest wheel gets the grease is not working here.

Then you have the peanut gallery posts like that poster you replied to, its just like those two other idiots that signed up just to follow my posts to attack. No valid arguments but simple attack posts.

This thread is getting larger and larger but unlike some other threads it has not been closed. It is a thread of wonder indeed.

Maybe the update will come out (Cyan) as a Christmas Present. Who knows?

What are you smoking?  There were the days when you could rent a terminal from the ISP if you didn't have access to one yourself, but that was a whole different animal.  You know it and now you're just throwing anything you can think of out there to be difficult.

These threads are not being closed because Verizon knows we will NOT give up on complaining about not getting these updates.  If they close this thread, we will just open 10 more.  I don't care if you agree, disagree, or even read this.  This isn't about you or Tidbits!

We complain and will continue to complain about not getting these updates in a timely matter until Satan wears a parka and the snow puts out the fire!  Meanwhile, Verizon continues to delay the update and receive negative press all over the internet, social media, television, etc. etc.

I visited an AT&T store Saturday to inquire about the Nolia 1025, and the salesman there even commented on how much faster they plan to support updates to the Lumia line over Verizon.  They are currently working with Microsoft on the Denim update.  I promised him that if the Lumia 1025 gets Denim before Verizon issues it for the Lumia Icon, I'll be leaving Verizon for AT&T that day!

These threads are not being closed because they are not violating the TOS, nothing else. If multiple posts which violate the TOS start appearing in this or ANY thread they will most certainly be closed.

While there is quite the argument going on here, for the most part it is civil and within the TOS. Complaining is not against the TOS and would not be a reason to close the thread. If you look around this forum, MOST threads are about complaining. If Verizon started closing out all the threads which included complaining about one thing or another, this forum would certainly have a much more spartan look/feel about it.

Point taken, however I'm curious has to why you chose to ignore my point?

I'm trying to provide feedback to Verizon that their competition is actually using this against them!  It's free advertising for AT&T provided by Verizon.  When I can walk into an AT&T store and have one of their salespersons comment on the "lack of updates by Verizon," I would think Verizon would want to take notice of this.  Wouldn't you?

But hey, I'm just a complaining customer, what would I know?  If Verizon feels comfortable with providing the competition with ammunition to woo customers away, who am I to say anything?  I'm just waiting to see who gets Denim first.  First company to get Denim gets my business.

Ignore what point? That you are unhappy Verizon is slow to provide updates. I commented on THAT point several pages ago and nothing I say is obviously going to change your mind. People have been complaining to Verizon about slow OS updates for 5+ years with no change. I am on my 3rd or 4th android phone and they have ALWAYS been slow on updates. Is it the end of the world for me? No. I doubt it will change with the complaints on this thread, even with the SAME complaints the FCC/BBB/FTC/etc... has been receiving over these same last 5+ years for each and every OS update pushed out from android/BB/Windows phone platforms.

You seem to think differently. That's fine, we simply have a difference of opinion. I am not going to keep on simply posting the same thing over and over again like others in this thread on BOTH sides of the arguments.

I WILL post when something different shows up as you have mentioned, which I commented on.

If your point is that you are moving to AT&T if they get Denim first, more power to you. I don't care, in fact I am a strong proponent that you should ALWAYS go with the provider which best meets your needs. Even if Verizon gets Denim first, I don't see how Verizon is possibly meeting your needs. You will simply be complaining when the NEXT OS update rolls around, all to no avail.

That is certainly your right, whichever way you choose to go.Smiley Happy
