Re: The FCC and your 8.1 Cyan Update

Just a small correction.

Your freedom of speech stops at my door step. In this case Verizon owns and maintains this site. It has moderators that stop freedom of speech when it conflicts with Verizon's terms and conditions on using this site.

Many times I and others get into a friendly exchange and it goes far a field of the help request. It is removed.

In these windows complaints, not asking for a particular problem with your connectivity to the cellular and data network does not constitute a valid reason to just keep complaining over and over.

Why any of these complaint threads are still going must mean Verizon is getting entertainment value from them.

When they stop being entertaining they will be locked.

Keep complaining but don't use the US Constitution to do it.

First question...is posting here "annoying" to other paying customers?  Second, have you seen the other various posts where people ARE contacting Verizon through Facebook, Twitter, and directly (stores, "execs", etc.)?

Most forums are used for two things:  questions and venting.

When you see the same types of posts over and over (Cyan update is an example), then you (as a reader or peruser of this forum) can see that these are the types of posts that lean to venting.

It's ok to let people vent.  They will find their answers eventually, you can be sure.  The venting is usually for their own selfish benefit and THAT'S OK!  Commenting on these posts as if the person venting hasn't already seen replies in other parts of the forum defeats their purpose and usually just ends up devolving into an argument.

Let people vent.  You don't have to respond to it.  It's ok to merely listen or pass up the post.  Not everyone is looking for an answer when they vent.  I know that there are books that show men are "fixers", but sometimes people just need to let it out.  Go listen to Tears For Fears "Shout".  Smiley Happy  Meanwhile, don't engage in this stuff unless you just enjoy the argument over being unable to do anything or sway others.

Exactly.  But complaining obviously isn't something that goes against Verizon's terms of service or all our comments would have been removed, so your point is moot!  The Constitution of the United States provides me the liberty to voice my opinion, and while Verizon may have the right to remove it from this web site, they don't have a right to remove it from other web sites or have me thrown in jail for saying what I think.  That is the point I was making.  This is a free country, with freedom of speech, and just because Verizon owns this site, doesn't take my freedom of speech away, so NO it doesn't stop at "my" doorstep.  So is Verizon "your" doorstep?  Slip?

You often write foolish replies. No matter. You still don't get it do you? I don't work for Verizon I have told you this over and over and over. Again weak argument from you yet again!

The freedom of speech ends at my door refers to "my computer screen" or "on my network system" or "at my front door" you really don't know what you are talking about, do you?

And the US Constitution does not apply if I were say "not an American" say Canidian? Or Middle Eastern? Or British? Or any other country. Again you don't understand what you are spouting.

In Verizon's terms and conditions they tell you what is acceptable. However it is their portal, their network and your freedom of speech is what they grant you.

They don't remove the posts because it is entertainment. It keeps you here on a few threads complaining and not getting under the corporate skin.

If a customer can beat back all the non accurate posts made by the complainers why would they terminate or lock the threads? Ask yourself this question! Are you getting it now?

Yeah, you know what you are talking about because you are an "expert" and "know everything."  Get over yourself man.

Not an expert by any means.

But I don't throw stones when living in a glass house!

Think?

Actually, no one is forcing you to come on here and read the threads in which customers are complaining about the update. So, if you're "really" that tired of the whining go read some other threads. If there's something I don't like then I'll choose to not continue doing it.

Well has the whining accomplished anything? Months later and still no update and guess what if they update came out tomorrow it would have ZILCH to do with any complaining here. You know makes business listen? Money or the loss of it. Taking your business elsewhere and letting the know why you're leaving would have more of an impact. I can tell you this if I ever get dissatisfied with Verizon and I leave I leave. I won't come here and rant about whatever issue I'm having with Verizon. I will simply leave andgive my money to another company.
