Transferring contacts without losing them on old phone

Got a new work phone (Convoy 3) that I'd like to transfer my personal phone (Intensity2) contacts to when I activate then new work phone. Can I do this without affecting the contacts on my existing, personal phone?

You can back up your contacts to your Verizon cloud. I personally have my contacts added under my e-mail contacts, so when I add and sync my e-mail account to a phone it automatically adds them to my contact list.
