As I understande it, when you add/setup email accounts (outlook.com, gmail, yahoo, etc...) on your windows phone, you input your username and password. Then you have live updating tiles showing your new email. Does this mean the windows phone is constantly logged into those accounts? If so, can you still log into those accounts from elsewhere... like from a PC?

It only logs you in when syncing, then logs right out. You can access your email from your PC (elsewhere) while you are using the email program on your phone. I do it all the time.

I concur. I have several email accounts on my Windows phone, Gmail being one of them. I am also logged on to Gmail on my computer all day long - I get the emails on my computer and on the phone both. No issues being logged on in both places, and the "read" and replied to all syncs without a problem.
