I signed up for VZNavigator service because the Verizon wireless website told me my phone was compatible with the service. According to the VZNavigator service description, the VZNavigator App is required to use the service. My Kyocera DuraXV does not have the ability to use apps (as per what a Verizon phone rep told me 2 days ago).
Am I able to use the VZNavigator service at all?

According to a Verizon chat rep, the Kyocera DuraXV LTE's compatibility with VZ Navigator is a type on their website, the Kyocera DuraXV LTE is not compatible with VZ Navigator. The chat rep subsequently canceled my 30-day trial to VZ Navigator.
My issue is now resolved.

Should be "typo".
