Verizon Cloud backup stuck at 0%

Trying to backup my contacts to Verizon Cloud from my HTC Trophy and status is stuck at 0%. It also asks me to log on continuously.  Tried turning on and off WiFi, restarting, making more storage room on the phone.  When I do log on, I have an exclamation mark in a cloud in the upper left hand of the VC app window.

How long is it supposed to take to back up my contacts?  Meantime, I tried the built-in Microsoft backup and it backed up in about 10 minutes. What do I need to do to get VC to back up?

If you already have a backup through Microsoft, you might not need a backup through another service.

Making sure that you have all you contacts backed up is very important Wellsnet. I know I can't live without my contacts. What is the make/model of your device? How long has this been going on for? Are you connected to WiFi?
