I recently upgraded to a HTC M8 and purchased it in store at a premium VZW retailer, but they had to order it. I was charged $650 at the "premium" retailer, later I looked at the VZW.com price and it was $600! At this point I returned to the store and asked them to honor the price but they refused; they said I could return the phone using Verizon's phone return service which would cost me $35. This would have been pointless so I kept the phone. Additionally they also signed me up for insurance without out telling me and I was charged $15 for in store help, not an upgrade fee, but in store "help". I am very unhappy about this and will not be returning to this retailer, EVER. I have since canceled the insurance, but do I have any course of action to recoup any of these charges or differences in cost?

The store that you visited is a reseller (premier, premium, or otherwise), they are NOT a corporate Vzn store. Retail stores can set their own pricing, fees, etc as you have already discovered. I
learned the difference between direct and corporate stores when I was having trouble with my phone and the retail store could not help me and they actually directed me to the corporate store.

Yep our local retailer charges $50 more for the same phones( full price ) that Verizon sells on the website. I can choose not to shop there.
