WP @ CES2012

I figured that instead of a dozen or so articles regarding different WP devices that may show up at CES, I thought it would be easier if everyone just posted the content to a single thread.  Please ensure to include the link.

I have all fingers crossed that we'll be able to post something that links Verizon and WP, but I'm definitely not holding my breath!

Look at all the (free) publicity at&t is getting at CES 2012 too bad Verizon seems to have missed the boat yet again.  And to boot, Steve Ballmer is praising 'blindingly fast" 4G network at&t has and that it will have the first LTE Windows Phones, http://www.engadget.com/2012/01/09/ballmer-announces-lte-windows-phones-coming-to-atandt/

Verizon what is your major malfunction?

The execs at vzw are a bunch had a__ hats and CMO Marni Walden is a two-face liar for saying "communicated to Microsoft that LTE is critical to us" and than turning down devices and free publicity.  See my post below, VWZ is getting the Lumia 710 in April.....

Verizon you fail as a network provider.  Just rename yourselve Verdriod Wireless; the driod network (c) and get it over with.

According to Paul Thurrott, VZW is getting the Lumia 710 (or 719 in other reports on the web) in April, http://www.winsupersite.com/article/paul-thurrotts-wininfo/microsoft-confirms-windows-phone-lte-att-...

Still a low end Windows Phone, come on Verizon....

I have seen video reviews of the 710, although not an awful device, it surely on the low end, and not what I would want to sign a 2 year contract for as a very heavy smartphone user.  Even the Trophy wasn't even a high end first gen WP7 phone.  The 710 would be great for the casual smartphone user, or people looking for their first smartphone.

Not happy as a WP7 fan here though.  But ATT is really pushing the platform and getting some cool phones.  If I could only afford to switch right now.  Stupid ETF for my family plan would kill my budget for phones after switching.

HTC Titan II = <drool>

This is about as d*mn close to my ideal phone as it gets.  I loved the Titan when I played with it at the AT&T store.  4G was the only thing missing....well besides a Verizon radio that is....

If HTC can make this exact phone with Verizon bands, then I'd be all over it.

Before I freak out and threaten to head to AT&T once my contract is up, I will say that is extremely disappointing to see Verizon's lack of WP phones. I am a VERY happy HTC Trophy owner, and my wife is a disappointed DROID2 Global owner. The only thing I need to see from Verizon and Windows Phone is a physical keyboard before march 2013, as that is when my wife's phone is due for an upgrade. I am not saying I would change, but it may be considered.
