Where is the new Microsoft Lumia 950 XL? Where are you hiding it? L
ATT / T-Mobile both confirmed with me today that they are selling pretty much the world's best phone. Hello - Liquid Cooling?
Integrates with my surface 3 pro and my windows devices, AND my xbox.

So, one can assume from your response, "I don't know." "No." "Firm No". "My boss makes all the decisions?"
Did you ask your manager to ask your manager's boss what the answer to my question is?
Would be extremely helpful for my continuing support of Verizon?

ChrisM_VZW,
I'm checking in with you on this issue. We would like an official response from you guys on the following:
1.) Why you were unable to go to lunch with Microsoft on their new phones?
2.) Was it the cuisine? location? choice of operating system? Why can't you guys just get along?
3.) Workarounds - What workarounds do you have in place for getting this phone to run on your network?

There is no work around.
MS doesn't have the licensing or approval from the FCC to use spectrum on Verizon let alone paid Qualcomm the licensing fees to make CDMA on and work.
If you want the 950 you have to go to AT&T or buy unlocked and choose some other GSM carrier.

Don't hold out any hope for the Lumia. I wonder if one of the other OEMs will offer something, but we won't know until VZW announces it, and considering that it's Windows....

Thanks for the hope and sympathy. When all my devices are Windows, except for a dusty Linux box... it makes sense to have them all in alignment that way for me. Love the new Remote Desktop App on my Windows Phone too - thank you Microsoft!!
Ya, hey cool screen name! SickFreak. Nice.

I am very dissatisfied with Verizon's Windows phone choices. I will be investigating AT & T coverage in my area, if Verizon continues to ignore it's Windows 10 phone users with no high-end offerings!.

dellkeys,
it saddens us to hear you mention you'll be investigating. This is not what we want any of our valued customers to do. We've sent you a private message in your inbox. Let's look into options.

KatiM_VZW,
Believe me, we are all sad. Loosing a family member is never easy, but what else can we do to convince Verizon that keeping Microsoft around is a good thing?
In a competitor's market, it's never just the one or the two phones, it's about lots of options, and having THREE that compete makes it wildfire fun for the customers. Imagine if you had 3 options to keep your customers bouncing around in your Verizon ecosystem, instead of just the .. well honestly it's never been two options, lol. I'll let whoever reads that last sentence assume their phone is the best.

Ya, I was going to the store earlier this year to get that beefy Windows Phone, only to realize - yet again - Verizon keeps making bad decisions in their product lineup. Great phones either way! So I went middle-class citizen on Windows Phone - Lumia, and again had a much more fulfilling experience on my phone in texting, calls, pictures, reliability, all of it.
Anyway - I hear ya on the AT&T choice. Smart move.

I have already investigated AT&T and chosen a plan. As soon as they are available I will be buying a new Lumia. If that means leaving Verizon, then so be it. It's not my fault if they can't/won't offer the latest and greatest devices.

MS isn't talking to any carriers for these phones. They openly stated this. So doesn't matter Verizon won't get it even if they wanted to. So move to AT&T or buy unlocked and pick any GSM carrier.

I'm at a crossroads. My contract was up in September and I've been waiting for the 950 announcement. I love my Windows ecosystem. My 928 has been great as has my Verizon service. Verizon's Windows Phone offerings have been shrinking and I don't think they are interested in supporting Win Phone users. The network is great, but AT&T has adequate service in my area lacking in only one or two spots I frequent. I considered switching to the Note 5 but I'm already comfortable with my ecosystem and if I'm going to spend $700 for a phone, it might make more sense to go with what I know (the windows phone). I'm giving serious consideration to switching carriers when the 950 is available. Can anyone share their AT&T experience with me?

You only have so many hours after a post, to UnPost it.
I'm not sure how to delete after that either.

Unless something happens between now and January, then there is no other choice but to move onto the other provider's ecosystem.
But, if you're still at crossroads by then, good luck making a decision, ...I've heard of some people keeping a phone for the network they need, and a fun or business phone, but if that's not possible either, again good luck!!!

I too am looking to upgrade after 12 years on VZW and 8 years on a Palm Treo with Win Mobile 6.1 Pro. it's reached a point that I'm going to "need" to upgrade in order to do anything more that call and basic text. However, I've been waiting for the next gen to sync with the ease that I have now with my pc and outlook. It looks like it's time (I've been monitoring the MS Community on the subject), but for years I've found the WinPhone offerings on Verizon to be saaaaaadddd, verrry saaaaad and support on the subject to be nonexistent. When I switched to VZW from AT&T it was because of coverage, which for me is now almost equal in the areas I travel, so when the 950's are out, it's time to reconsider my service provider. Loyalty seems to be a one way street. I've lost all benefits of staying as VZW has continually and consistently stripped them away. Better deals are offered elsewhere for switching, as well as better hardware.
That first Customer Support response is a classic. Plenty of text with no substance. Not one piece of actual information was offered. All it says to me is "we want your money, but have no reason for you to stay".

Bunch of bull. Even the FCC papers completely tears that apart. Simply the 950/XL was never tested with CDMA and EVDO let alone band 13 proves it was never intended for a CDMA carrier.
