I have owned and absolutely loved my Lumia 822 and now my Lumia 735. I have been waiting wit bated breathe for the Lumia 950 xl. I figure if the phones that I have been using for the last 2 1/2 years are considered mid level, then high end has to be off the hook. Now I read that VERIZON may not support a flagship WP 10 at all. If that is the case I would seriously consider switching carriers.

We want you to have a device that best suits you, WP10_950xl. We have a great lineup of devices and are sure we can find one that does what you are looking for it to do. We don’t want you to leave us, as we value our customers. How do you use your current device? What are you hoping to do with your new one?

I've also stated before that without the 950 series on VZW I will be looking for a new service provider, and unfortunately it looks like AT&T.

ShadowRider, we are always looking to carry the lateset and greatest devices on the best network. There has been no official word on the device in question. However here is a way for to stay in the loop on everything Verizon including device releases: http://vz.to/1LgeRPm

No, Anthony, your response does not provide and answer to the problem at hand. No, Anthony, VZW does not "always.. ..offer the latest and greatest devices". And Anthony, the "best network" is the one that offers the hardware and services that satisfies the needs of the user, and it increasingly appears NOT to be VZW.
Anthony, from your reply and that of others from VZW Customer Support, you may as well be bots that troll for key words and spit out canned responses. Text and links with no substantial info for the subject at hand.

ShadowRider is correct.
Anthony, I’m certain if there is a way to offer the 950 series phones in the future, VZW will likely jump on the bandwagon. However, at the present time nor foreseeable future, it looks like VZW will not be offering these devices.
In the meantime, however, you can go back to your engineers and corporate leadership to answer the following questions for us:
1. Based on the specifications of the Lumia 950 series devices, will it operate successfully on the VZW network?
2. If it will work on the VZW network, will it work for all services (voice, data, 4G LTE, etc.)?
In the long run, I think it’s better for VZW to support the device operation on its network, but not offer the phone. Here’s why:
1. Current VZW customers will be happy to use the device on their existing plans without having to switch carriers
2. Microsoft will be supporting all the Windows 10 mobile updates
3. VZW’s lacks interest in pushing mobile updates to their devices and rarely does so, if only to silence the general public
So, Anthony, if you really want to contribute, answer the questions above.

I'm not even a VZW employee and I can tell you based on the specifications of the 950, the answer to both of your questions is "No." without a doubt.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

The answer isn't no. It's that Microsoft in firmware have disabled CDMA and Band 13 so that they won't work on Verizon.
The hardware itself supports both and would, if MS wasn't blocking it, work fine. See Nexus 5x/6P which has the same chipset (with included radio/baseband) and works fine on Verizon and Sprint.

The chip might be the same, but does it have the same antennas and other hardware components necessary for all those bands to enabled?

MS hasn't paid the royalties to Qualcomm needed for CDMA, or EVDO to wor, and as for yourself you admitted MS blocked it and hasn't even tested it with the FCC.
So will it work on Verizon is in fact no. If MS wanted it to work they would have done the leg work to work.

I'm going with my friend whos works at Verizon in various positions, one being a Sr Tech for years. He knows what he is talking about. I believe him along with the well informed seasoned radio techs and the many things I posted as well as others here and across the net regarding VZW and Windows Phone.

I am going by actually knowing how the tech works, and ACTUAL data from various companies data. especially Motorola with the Nexus 6. The fact remains Motorola said they NEVER game Verizon the ID's to Sprint nor Verizon, and yet they worked, and you can find they work. So if your friends were correct then they NEVER should have worked. The fact the FCC doesn't show what is needed for Verizon's network shows that MS didn't make it work for Verizon. The rest is FUD being passed around.

The iPhones also the same way. The system itself will kick out unknown device, but will work EVERY time. The only thing it can't do is activate the sim. So based on what your friend said they shouldn't work.
There's plenty of videos, articles, Verizon higher management, Motorola, Google, Apple, and even threads on these very forums that contradict what he told you. When he was a senior tech probably BEFORE block C rules, and how the system is now MAJORITY GSM and not CDMA. How Verizon is phasing out their legacy CDMA for GSM to easily comply with Block C rules to ensure they don't lose their Block C licensing they spent billions to acquire.

Listening to the pod cast, its clear its goes beyond just tech stuff. Its just the reality. VZW is the Big Dog in the US and can careless about phones other than Apple. Having said that, I'm sure that there will be a lot of VZW customers jumping ship including me. It may not be big news but I think it will be Significant enough in that long time customers will be leaving.

I listened to him and he is WRONG. The system changed, and he is thinking back on the old way the system is. It has been explained to death from various sources that the old system isn't how it is done. If the device supports Block C the authentication is exactly like GSM, but it can't activate Sims. You don't need the ID to make it work hence the Nexus 6, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, the iPhones from the 5 and up all can be used on their network without giving them the ID. The new Moto X (2015) exactly the same. The system will kick back not a Verizon wireless phone but it will work regardless.

FYI this happens just on AT&T and T-Mobile. If their systems doesn't have the device IMEI in thE database it will say unknown device.
Yes I use AT&T and T-Mobile and both don't know what devices I am using even IF they both sell the phone in their lineup.
Some food for thought.

Lol, I know tech too, just got off the phone with my VZW Tech friend, he said the 3 on the Video were dead on weather any one agrees or disagrees. Guess it doesn't matter. Not is dispute is that these phones are not coming to Verizon as of now. Many will be leaving.

Well, I've been carrying two sims for my 928. One VZW and the other, TMO. Fact is, TMO just has better rates, and I don't have to worry about roaming data consumption overseas blowing up my bill.
But my dream of having both on the 950XL is up in smoke. Thanks again Verizon for giving the Windows Ecosystem the finger.
The $430 I pay you each month on all my 8 lines might just go to TMO completely, here and soon. I've just about had it. And honestly, I'm really not noticing any worse coverage with the competition these days.
Call me back when you think you can play nice.

I want these phones to work on Verizon's network so bad!! As a former 822 user and a current 735 user, I can't help but feel that I have consistently needed to make concessions with my devices to stay with Verizon. I love(ed) both of my Windows Phones (the 735 is amazing, for the price) but in order to be a Verizon customer I've had to forgo the high end devices. Sure there was the Icon however, my 822 contract ended just after Verizon stopped offering the Icon! Every other device Verizon has offered from Microsoft has been mid range. Now that there is finally a true flagship on the horizon in the form of the 950/950xl, I must have it! If that means I take my 4 lines to AT&T, so be it. I'd prefer to stay but if these two companies cant work this out...I AM LEAVING!

After 20+ years with Verizon we will be leaving if the 950 is not available. It is that simple.
