Why does my device announce the numbers I press on the keypad?

When I press numbers on keypad, they are voiced.  How do I turn this off?

Press the menu key, go to Settings and Tools,  Then menu option 5 for Sound Settings, and in that menu, go to 5 agian for Digit Dial Readout.  Turn that OFF.  Page 76 of the user manual:  http://cache.vzw.com/multimedia/mim/lg_revere/revere.pdf

5.5 Digit Dial Readout Allows you to set the Digit Dial Readout.

1. Open the flip and press [MENU].

2. Press Settings & Tools.

3. Press Sounds Settings.

4. Press Digit Dial Readout.

5. Use the Directional Key to highlight a setting, then press . On/ Off
