they disabled the bands, because Verizon would not support windows. Even if they were there. And you would be able to activate The phone with Verizon, either by taking it in or using an existing sim. Verizon would not support the phone. If you had any problems, Verizon would just look other way most likely. Look how the icon was handled, that's what would happen to these new phones. It's Verizon's fault regardless. If the bands are active or not.

Yes it would. Learn block C rules people. Also Verizon authentication system isn't the one that the vlogger says it is and hasn't been that way since 4 years ago.

That just is not true, experience shows otherwise.   Why you need to pin this only on Verizon is very strange.  Microsoft could have put the bands there with or without Verizons permission.  Fault lays on both sides, but since Microsoft manufactures the phone they had full control to include the bands.

Verizon has screwed over windows. They handled the icon poorly. It has been stated that they are not interested in having window phones on there network. Look how they try to steer people away from windows. Even the reps on here do it. I'm sorry but it's Verizon's fault for not support the platform to begin with.

Does matter man. Fact of the matter Verizon can not block a device that works on their network. MS could have done it on their own. They chose not to. If MS really wanted to spite Verizon they could have made it available and could have appeased their fans at the same time.

Verizon certainly has not been pro Windows phones, but Microsoft could have included the bands and you could have used it on Verizon with an already activated SIM.

What I mean with support, if the phone ever needed a update through Verizon, it would most likely not get it. Would they give there full support to a phone that they dont sell themselves is what I'm getting at. I mean tech support, updates that sort of thing. Microsoft could push updates through for the windows side. But if you need an update from Verizon would you get it?

Listen. Verizon doesn't need to update anything. It's up to the manufacturer. They can update as they see fit. Verizon has no control over it. That's it just like GSM carriers around the world. Verizon would be no different.

There is NOTHING Verizon side that needs updating ever. That's one of the beauties of GSM.
