Why is my samsung 3 gusto receiving jumbled messages?

I'm getting the same problem, have several times over the last two months. Sometimes one person's texts will mainly be fine, then I'll get gobbledy-gook on my Samsung flip phone. Sample: @H@ [two non-standard characters]@ @ [pound sign]@H... Etc. Lots of @ with other characters of very sort.

This simply shouldn't be happening.

Like it is the older basic phones can't translate the many special characters used on smartphones.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

They are probably including emojis. The good news is your new phone which you will have to get within the next 345 days won't have this issue
