Yes on 16GB, SLCD and "world phone" quad band with red inside (not yellow) but all credible accounts.

It possibly could even support 3G on at&t if you could get it unlocked based on specs. Should be before 6/1 based on Microsoft announcements for WP7 last nov "in first half of 2011 on Verizon & Sprint". I'd be surprised if it's not 5/12 or the following Thurs based on Memorial Day.

Are you sure about the 16GB & SLCD?  That would be a nice improvement from the original Trophy.  I guess since May 5th has come and gone, we are now looking at May 12th?  Anyone willing to bet it's gonna be June before we hear anything... :smileysad:

I too am a (well not too) satisfied Verizon customer... have been since Air Touch days. I have been waiting and waiting along with the rest of you but sadly my Moto Q died on my night before last and I was forced to get  a new phone... (was hoping my old phone would last one more week)

Good thing VZW has that 30 day (right) return policy... I will be at the front door the of my closest VZW store the morning the W7 phone is released.

VIA LA Windows 7 PHONE!!!!   :smileyvery-happy:

That assumes that Verizon release a Windows Phone in the next 30 days.  Given their track record, I don't know that I would go to the bank with that.

At this point, August wouldn't surprise me.  It would anger me, but it surely wouldn't surprise me.

Verizon is not known for "surprises" or efficient/quick releases of phones. This is because CDMA is unique to verizon (and sprint) and 90+% of the world uses GSM (at&t, tmobile phones) so Verizon is LIMITED in thier choice unless they do a specific phone (i.e. original droid) exclusive to Verizon.

The Verizon Trophy also appears to be a world phone with 16GB and SLCD so that is a tweak and improvement over the original "trophy" from overseas.

The next logical Verizon WP7 phone would be the Trophy+keyboard aka the TP2 followup on Windows Phone 7.

Of course a vertical slider makes a whole lot more sense and T-mobile and now AT&T have that covered in the Dell Venue Pro.

Right on the first part- 90% may be a little high. but I agree, GSM seems to be pervasive outside of the US, and it's growing here in the US as well. I don't care to speculate what will happen in the next 5 years and as a consumer, it's unfortunate that we have to worry about CDMA vs TDMA vs GSM at all- blame our regulators and the providers for that. Imagine if you had to choose a TV this way? I just want a reliable connection....
I believe the phone we are looking at for the Verizon Trophy is the one that was approved by the FCC back in March- do a search on HTC PC40210. Guess we'll know when we have it- the rags were all reporting 16GB and SLCD- would really be a problem if the Verizon flavor doesn't at least have that....
I never cared for vertical sliders- if the touch screen works the way it could/should, we don't really shouldn't need one. Even on my TP2, I'm finding I rarely use the slide out keyboard...unless I need to type a long response to an email... then again, browsing is pretty lame on it too.

I personally want a slide-out.  I use the keyboard on my TP2 all the time, and while I have not touched a Venue Pro, at my former job I had to carry a blackberry, and I hated typing on those little keys.  I had a Sprint Arrive, as I switched the day it came out, and I had to come back to VZW because Sprint coverage was too bad.  I loved the phone.  I would like to get it on Verizon, but if a Trophy came out with a slide-out, I'd like that even better.  Better/larger screen...  I'd like to know if it has a glass screen like the arrive (I liked that) or if it's plastic.

I guess my point is that we need choices.  You don't use the slide-out, I do.  Some like vertical, I like landscape.  One phone is NOT going to make us all happy.  I plan on buying the Trophy when it comes out, but as soon as they come out with a phone that has a landscape slide-out, I'll buy it.  But they need to get moving - YESTERDAY.

Verizon's return period is FOURTEEN days now, not 30, so don't go banking on a return period to last you until the Trophy actually gets released! Also keep in mind the $35 restocking fee!

I used to be big on hardware keyboards myself but trust me the soft keyboard on Windows Phone 7 is like nothing you've ever experienced before! I work at Microsoft on the Phone team and I know the internals of how the keyboard was designed with our research group and it's nothing short of genius. I've never typed faster on a phone in my life. The trick is to type with two thumbs as fast as you can without worrying about fixing anything and let it do it's job. When you're done you can then click on the words it didn't auto-correct for you and fix them.

Not to be a jerk, but I've been using an early dev prototype of the Trophy for over 8 months now and I love the form factor. Don't miss the slide out keyboard at all. I'm obviously biased but I really do love this phone. I've also seen what's coming next (that's what's running on my phone) and you're all in for some serious goodness :smileyhappy:

Can't wait till Verizon releases though because my wife is itching for her Trophy...
