Not anymore!  Looks like it's not going to happen.

Gotta remember the source of this information was HTC.  Verizon never confirmed they would release in October.

Maybe HTC just released the update to Verizon and now Verizon has to perform some sort of due diligence before pushing it out to customers.  Who knows?  'Would be nice if Verizon provided some clarity (it's pretty disappointing they have not already).

HTC is indicating technical difficulties, it does not appear to be a Verizon issue.

OK Verizon, I am pleased that you have finally released 8.1/denim for the 928Smiley Happy, however what has happened to the update for the HTC 8X? it has been over 2 months after the 'expected release' and still no word. the last update seems to have caused more problems than it corrected on my wife's and sons 8X and we are hoping that 8.1 will fix these problems.
