EDev,

I am sorry to hear that you are still experiencing issues after the reset. We have seen a lot of improvement from people who have done so, but it is different with everyone. Is your device still under warranty or do you carry an extended warranty option. We can certainly review options for such, because after the reset there are few option to recover outside of that. You can follow me at TonyG_VZW and DM me with your mobile number and billing password and we would be happy to review the next phase to go. I am sure we can find an overall resolution together.

Thank you,

My phone still has the text message issue outlined in this article (link below).

I have done a couple of hard resets (having to spend the time to setup the phone again etc) I have the scotch tape on the sim card so it seats in the phone better etc.

It's unbelievable that we've had to endure months of substandard performance with our phones about this. I bought this phone in April 2013 so it's not like it's an archaic piece of technology.

We fully understand your concerns Major_Payne. We always want you to have the best support for your device. Have you attempted to reach out to the manufacturer of your device for alternative support outside of what we provided? HTC can be reached by visiting http://bit.ly/1bhf3Y2. Please keep us posted, thanks!

I could do that however this phone worked perfectly prior to GDR2.

As I am a IT professional I realize the difference between a hardware problem and a software problem.

Since the GDR2 update was applied it has had the text message issue. GDR3 has not corrected the problem so exchanging the phone for another one that would have the updates applied to it would most likely just give me a reconditioned phone that has the same problem verses the phone I have now that at least only 7 months old.

Hi Major_Payne,

Thanks for the info! If your sim card is not seated correctly, you can contact the manufacturer to see if the sim card tray may need to be replaced.

Thanks,

I'm willing to try that since I've done the scotch tape solution to shim the sim card.

Do you have their contact information?

Hi Major_Payne!
I sure do have the contact number for HTC. Just call 866-449-8358 to reach them by phone, or click here to contact them via their website: http://www.htc.com/us/support/

Text messaging has been busted since the GDR2 rollout.

We can't take it any more.  We have 4 lines and it's driving the whole family nuts.

We also experience the WiFi/Data glitch where nothing will go in/out of the phone unless we turn off WiFi and go over the air.  Once again, this was busted since GDR2.

Was there no quality control testing done on these builds by anybody at Verizon or HTC?

I have to ask the same question especially when GDR3 didn't fix it either.
