Nothing to open to read it. However you don't want to reply to it.
Doing so would verify a working cell phone number. Many times a text will say reply "stop or S" to not receive these messages. However if you do you just verified your number. After its verified you may get hit with more and more text messages or spammer calls.
Always best to report it to verizon.
