I have a Samsung Intesity III
I can receive texts from email when I send to mynumber@vzpix.com; But I cannot get any texts to come in through mynumber@vtext.com. I've tried different email systems. I've had others send to me. Nothing.
For grins, I sent a text from MY cell phone to mynumber@vtext.com....and it worked!
I need to get this working for our email system at work to email me a text message.
Thank you in advance for any help!

For what its worth, other co-workers are working fine with thiernumber@vtext.com within our network. I've even registered for messaging or whatever it is online with verizon. DIdnt make a difference.

I want to make sure you can get those messages, Todzilla220. For clarification, do any of your coworkers also have the Samsung Intensity III (or any basic phone) that are able to use Vtext? Do you have a Vtext profile that you are logging into: http://vz.to/1zgeDDl

Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me on this.
Yes, I've already created an account through vtext.com.
My co-workers all have different types of phones. iPhones, Droids, couple
basic phones like me etc.
In my troubleshooting:
I created an alias: xxxxxxxxxxx@vtext.com
That didnt work either
I then sent a text from MY phone, BACK to my phone using
xxxxxxxxxx@vtext.com, and it come through!
But again, no email systems can send a message to me.
I stopped by my local Verizon Wirless provider/store, and they suggested I
contact tech support.
Thank you for your help!

Vtext.com is for basic text messages only and limited to 160 characters. Vzwpix.com is for MMS messages. If the email client is adding any pictures, signatures and anything else beyond a basic string of text, it will not be able to deliver on the phone via the number@vtext.com address. It might be better to use the number@vzwpix.com address instead.

Unacceptable. I will have to pay for MMS messages using VZWPIC.com
I want this to work with number@vtext.com or I'm leaving Verizon wireless
for good. No one else that i know has issues with getting text messages
sent to number@vtext.com, why isnt mine working?
It needs to be fixed, rather than band-aided.
Thanks,

Then the message you send needs to not have any special characters, only plain text and limited to 160 characters. Whatever email client you are using isn't formated properly to send as plain text.

Okay. I just went into my outlook, the same outlook that I can text
co-workers phones with, and switched to plain text format. Still nada.
I've sent from gmail. Nada.
Yahoo Mail. Nada.
All I'm sending in the message body is the word "test".
Confusing why this works for my co-workers out of the same email system.
I cannot use VZWPICS as that will hit me as an extra charge on my
bill/statement.

Another consideration...
When I send my messages, I don't receive a rejected notification. If I
intentionally put in the address something incorrect, I will get a
rejection notification. So this tells me that Verizon servers/systems are
getting the message, but from there?? Who knows!?
